Pipeguild cheque presentation

On February 23 2018 the Pipeline Industry Guild of Ireland hosted their second annual dinner in support of Trócaire. The event is organised by the voluntary committee of the Pipeline Industries Guild attended by representatives from companies across the civil engineering and construction sector.
Helen Nic an Rí of Trócaire spoke to over 300 people in the sector about our humanitarian work on the night. The Trócaire team in Kenya sent MUAC bracelets which were used as napkin rings at the sumptuous dinner. These bracelets highlighted the tiny upper arms of the children visiting health clinics supported by Trócaire in Kenya and Somalia and how these two very contrasting worlds exist. The guests were very generous on the night. The event raised €7,500 for the Water Fund.
