Féile an Phobail, Ireland’s largest community arts festival, kicks off today in Belfast and Trócaire is delighted to be part of it.

While Féile provides a programme of inclusive arts, cultural and community-based activities throughout the year, its flagship festival, the August Féile is a central highlight of Ireland’s festival calendar.

Tonight will see the official launch of ‘Climate Justice Now,’ a photo exhibition highlighting the impact of the climate crisis on communities around the world and those activists who are speaking out for climate justice.

Curated by Trócaire, the exhibition shows the stark impact of climate breakdown, including the destruction and damage wreaked on those least responsible for greenhouse gas emissions

The exhibition also features infographics with striking visuals that make clear the injustices and the challenges we face, particularly those most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

We’re delighted to be launching our new photo exhibition ‘Climate Justice Now’ at the Féile. It’s a powerful exhibition that we hope will help people reflect more deeply on the need for climate justice. It is particularly moving to be able to look into the eyes of the inspiring activists and people on the frontlines of the climate crisis who are leading this call for justice. Please do come along for an exclusive, first-look at the exhibition and join the movement for climate justice.

Climate Justice Now will be launched at 18:00 on the 01 August at St Mary’s University College, Falls road. It is a free event with no booking required.
