Thank you - your support is helping those most in need
As we begin another year, I would like to thank our incredible supporters for their ongoing generosity and commitment to the work of Trócaire.
That support saves and changes lives – from families fleeing war in South Sudan and Syria, to farmers growing crops in the face of drought in Kenya and Malawi.
Your support is a lifeline to millions of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
That support was evident over Christmas, when you supported our Christmas Appeal and Gifts of Love campaign.
Our Appeal highlighted the plight of millions of people who are trapped in war zones, while our Gifts saw thousands of people all over Ireland buy simple but incredibly important gifts for people in the developing world.
We are blessed to have your support. It is something we will never take for granted. We work hard to put donations to their best use, reaching the most vulnerable to help change their lives.
We are particularly grateful for the support of parishes all over Ireland. As the overseas development agency of the Bishops’ Conference, Trócaire’s work is at all times driven by Catholic Social Teaching and the values, ethos and teachings of our faith.
In February we will launch our annual Lenten Appeal. Hundreds of thousands of Trócaire boxes will be delivered to homes, schools and parishes nationwide. We look forward to engaging with our supporters during this period.
In the meantime, a big thank you from our teams around the world.
