Somalia

Imagine if you had never had your first day at school

Somalia is one of the most inaccessible countries on earth and children are growing up through war, drought and famine. Education is a lifeline for these children and monthly support from Ireland will help Trócaire to continue our work.

We’ve been working in Somalia for over twenty years and throughout this time, the people of Somalia have faced conflict, drought and famine.

During that time, our education programme has played a vital role for many children.

Right now we are providing schooling to over 4,000 Somali children.

We provide the school children with books, bags, soap and water containers.

We’re also ensuring that children have access to safe drinking water in this current drought.

Currently, we’re building and repairing wells in the school compounds.

We greatly appreciate your continued support to continue this vital work.

With your help, we will provide a better future for some of the children of Somalia.

You can be the hero that gives more children the chance of a better future.
