Your local Volunteer Officer. Members of our team are located in the four regions of Ireland.
As a potential Trócaire volunteer you will be asked to provide two references. This is to check your suitability to carry out volunteering duties and to comply with our safeguarding commitments.
Your local Volunteer Officer is there to support you. They will respond to your queries and concerns and be there to encourage you along the way. You will also attend meetings, training sessions, and webinars, and be part of a team of volunteers who are equally passionate.
No, unfortunately not. We can only accept volunteers who are 18 years old or over. There are other ways in which you can be involved with Trócaire through your school or youth group, check with them if they are involved in Trócaire. If not, you can suggest to them to engage with our development education resources and projects.
No, we do not send volunteers overseas.
Trócaire has worked in partnership with local organisations for almost 50 years. It is a core and defining aspect of who we are. Our commitment to partnership stems from the belief that development must be locally-owned and driven by a vibrant local civil society and the communities they represent and work with.
