Nasteha’s family have lost everything and it’s not just. Your support can help Nasteha and her family build a better future
When the last of Mahat and Ambiyo’s 200 goats died, leaving them no food and no income, they had to make the agonising decision to leave their home village in search of help and a better life for their family.
After walking for 3 days, with 8-year-old Nasteha and her seven siblings, the family arrived at an IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp, where the family of 10 now sleep inside a small hut made from wooden sticks and salvaged plastic.
Life in the camp is hard and food is scarce.
Since arriving at the camp, in an area supported by Trócaire, Nasteha and the older children have started school and their parents biggest hope is they will all receive an education and be able to build better lives for themselves.
This Lent, you can help them achieve that dream. Your help can make all the difference
