Tropical Storm Ana made landfall in Malawi on 24 January 2022 bringing heavy rains and causing severe flooding throughout the country. More than 995,000 people from across 16 districts were affected, with 190,000 people displaced, 46 deaths, 18 missing and 206 injuries.
