English
Policy and Programmes
4 Feb 2014
The 2007 Trócaire Development Review addresses how to achieve gender equality in development. In particular, topics under discussion include trying to understand why international development NGOs experience such difficulty in addressing gender inequality, two critical development challenges from a gender perspective: the prevailing pattern of violence against women, and the increasing feminisation of HIV/AIDs, and Ireland's level of achievement in the area of gender equality.
In addition, the impacts of climate change, and the United State's perceived threat of international terrorism in Africa are discussed. Several recently-published key texts on development are also reviewed.
About the Trócaire Development Review
