Trócaire Development Review 1993-1994

The 1993/1994 Trócaire Development Review discusses a number of broad themes including trade, employment, food security, and asylum policies. In particular, articles examine the debt crisis in Latin America, goods manufacturing and exportation to EU markets by developing countries, gender issues in the informal sector including a case study of the Philippines, the impacts of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, and the effects of asylum policies generated by the European Union. 
 
In addition, recently-published key texts on development are reviewed including the World Development Report 1993 by the World Bank and A Report on Regionalism.

The Review draws together policy analysis and research finding with a particular relevance to Ireland's evolving role in international development. Articles are on economic, social and political themes relating to poverty and injustice in the developing world.
