Trócaire's submission to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence argues that the Irish Aid programme is a high-quality and poverty focused programme, and that these core principles should be maintained and strengthened. The submission points to the need for greater policy coherence for development in a context of complex humanitarian crises that are driven by political conflict and/or exacerbated by climate change.
