Demystifying ‘good governance’: An overview of World Bank Governance Reforms and Conditions

A report examines the extent of governance conditionality, as defined by the World Bank, across 20 Poverty Reduction Support Credit (PRSC) programmes in 10 countries.
 
The analysis considers the most recent PRSC programme agreed with the Bank (2003-2005) and the forthcoming (provisional) PRSC programme in Ethiopia, Ghana, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Honduras and Nicaragua.
