We understand that applying for a role can raise many questions. To assist you with your application we have put together the answer to some frequently asked questions.
Q. How will I know that you have received my application?
A. You will receive an acknowledgment to confirm receipt of your application to the email address you registered with within 48 hours.
Q. Can I apply for more than one role being advertised by Trócaire?
A. Yes, you can apply for more than one role, as long as you meet the requirements of the role as outlined in the Person Specification. Please also ensure that you have the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
Q. Do I need a work permit to work for Trócaire?
A. Trócaire has the legal obligation to ensure that all its employees have the right to work in the relevant country of operation and as such require employees to have permission to work and live in the country where the role is based. For a small number of roles we may be able to support a candidate in their first steps to obtain a work permit if we can demonstrate that we have met all the relevant qualifying criteria. Please see individual advertisements for more information.
Q. What is the latest time that I can apply for a specific role?
A. The latest time is 17:30 hrs Irish time on the date specified in the advert
Q. I have missed the deadline, can I still apply?
A. We are unable to accept applications after the advertised closing date.
Q. When will I hear the outcome of my application?
A. We aim to contact candidates within one month of the closing date. Due to the high volumes of applications that we receive, we are unable to offer feedback if your CV and application were not shortlisted for interview.
Q. Can I send you a speculative application?
A. Unfortunately due to the volume of applications we receive we are unable to accept speculative applications.
Q. How can I apply for a local role overseas with Trócaire?
A. All our Country Office roles are recruited locally through local media and in line with local employment law regulations.
