Standards of Good Practice

Able Lopez Hernandez (48), a farmer who takes part in our Resource Rights programmes in Honduras.

Charities have a duty to operate to the highest standards. Our supporters and donors demand that of us, as do the communities we serve. We demand it of ourselves.

Trócaire adheres to best practice across its work. As well as upholding legislative requirements, we have signed up to a variety of voluntary codes and standards and have had our development, humanitarian and advocacy mandates independently certified against the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability by the Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative. Supporters and donors know they can trust us to spend their funds effectively.
