Get on board for a fair deal in Copenhagen this December!
Climate Change Affects Everybody . . . But Not Equally
This December, world leaders will meet in Copenhagen to agree a crucial new global treaty on climate change. The decisions they make will shape all our futures. Trocaire are campaigning for a strong, fair deal which offers real support to the developing countries being hit hardest by climate change despite doing least to cause it. We must also make sure that our governments don’t raid aid budgets to meet climate obligations. Poor countries shouldn’t be forced to sacrifice badly needed health or education services in order to pay for a problem which richer countries have created.
Ireland and the EU need to work for a global deal that truly tackles the causes and effects of climate change, before its too late. We need your help to make sure the voices of the world's poor are heard in these important decisions.
