Parish resources

All of Trócaire's work, here in Ireland as well as overseas, is informed by Catholic Social Teaching (CST).

Guided by Gospel principals, we use it to bring social justice issues alive in parishes, classrooms and community groups across the island of Ireland. In this section you'll find a range of resources for use in your parish or community group, designed to help bring together faith and action on social justice issues.

The Cry of the Earth: A Call to Action for Climate Justice

cry of the earth cover image'The Cry of the Earth' is a Pastoral Reflection on Climate Change from the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference, 2014. To accompany this, Trócaire has developed 'GLAS', a pastoral resource.
‘Action at a global level, as well as every individual action which contributes to integral human development and global solidarity, helps to construct a more sustainable environment and, therefore, a better world.’

Rediscovering Mercy: An invitation to reconnect Faith and Mercy

This course aims to create a space for reflection on how mercy is both experienced and expressed in our lives, in the Scriptures, in our Church and in the work of Trócaire. The course consists of four sessions over four consecutive weeks. While it may be run at any time in the liturgical year, it is particularly suitable to the seasons of Advent or Lent. Each session takes approximately 60-80 minutes.
