The Pope John Paul II Award aims to enable young people aged between 16 and 18 to become more actively involved in parish and community life. Religion is not just for learning, nor a list of rules designed to stop you doing what you want. Religion is for living and through taking an active part in your church and community you will experience the contentment and fulfilment that comes from serving others, especially those in great need.
As the Catholic agency for overseas development, we want to support young people and their teachers in raising ‘Global Social Awareness’. We are all one family and as Christians are called to be our sisters or brothers keepers, regardless of whether they are next door or around the world. We invite young people to join us and help us make our vision a reality.
