Thank You Sligo IT!

Trócaire would like to offer a very special thanks to Brian Waldron and all who participated in Sligo IT's Comedy Night to raise funds for our projects in the developing world. The night was a fun-filled fantastic success;

'The night kicked off with our MC warming up the crowd which was followed by the first comedian Desmond Gilroy. The crowd cheered and laughed as Des got up and did his thing on stage. It was Desmond’s first time so his nerves did show but he never let them get the best of him. Following Desmond was Eanna O’Dowd who is no stranger to the comedy scene as he has performed in many venues over the past 4 years. After Eanna was a raffle; we gave away several prizes, one of which was signed by the Comedy Club and the band. Following the raffle, IT Sligo’s Comedy Club chairman Brian Waldron stepped into the limelight; joked about and handled a few hecklers.  After the comedians there was a short break in which a young talented performer named Austin got up on stage and sang his song about charity. Following this, a local Sligo band by the name of Feedback took the stage and played for the rest of the night. The craic was amazing and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Trócaire for letting us fundraise for them!'
