Trócaire's RSS newsfeed
What is RSS?
RSS news feeds keep you informed of when websites have added new content. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a very effective way of keeping up-to-date with the latest information on trocaire.org. By subscribing to Trócaire's RSS news feed, you can get all the latest news from Trócaire, as soon as it's published, without having to visit trocaire.org. Instead, RSS will tell you when the new stories that you want are available by delivering them directly to you.
Getting started with RSS?
The first thing you need is a piece of software called a newsreader, which is as easy to use as email or web browsers. You can download such a newsreader for free from the web.
There are many different types of newsreaders available for download (remember to select a newsreader that will work with your operating system):
Windows
Newz Crawler
FeedDemon
Awasu
Mac OS X
Newsfire
NetNewsWire
If you don't want to download newsreader software, you can simply visit a website that acts as a reader such as www.feedster.com or my.yahoo.com
Finally, there are some browsers, including Firefox and Opera, which automatically detect RSS feeds for you and also allow you to "bookmark" them. More details are available on their websites.
