Your gift of life-saving water will bring new life to people who have little or no water.
Without water there can be no life. This gift will help support projects such as digging wells and conserving rain water for irrigation purposes.
This allows farmers to grow crops and maintain healthy livestock and feed their families.
Water is urgently needed in places like east Africa where drought is causing widespread famine and death.

How your gift will change people's lives
Fetching water was once far from simple for Helena Nunho.
She trekked every day to the river to fill a 20litre bucket with dirty water, while crocodiles loomed.
Rural Mozambique is dry, but when rain comes it can be accompanied by dangerous cyclones, causing floods, polluting wells and breeding malaria.
Trócaire and a local organisation moved Helena’s community to a safer area and built a water supply network for drinking, sanitation and irrigation.
Each use has its own clever technology whether it’s to capture, store, or make the water flow. Helena is pleased to admit that she rarely visits the river these days.
“We are part of a farming association where we grow maize, cabbage and tomatoes,” says Helena’s husband, Antonio. “We were threatened by crocodiles and affected by disease but now we’ve very good water.”
