Your gift will help people like Pilemina from Uganda
“We’re growing beans, potatoes, millet, cabbage and eggplant,” a proud Pilemina Aceng (56) told Trócaire. Pilemina survived unbearable loss and hunger during Uganda’s civil war. Her husband was killed, four of her children were stolen by the militia and she was forced from her home into a desolate camp. Unable to withstand anymore hunger she eventually returned home to face her fate. Trócaire helped Pilemina to rebuild her farm with seeds, tools and training. The Gift of a Vegetable Garden will help many more people like her.
