Ngobami Sbanda enjoys a Global Gift lunch provided by Trócaire at the Amazon School, Insinza, Zimbabwe.
Many children like Ngobami do not go to school because their parents cannot afford the fees.
With families in rural areas living on just $1 dollar a day, parents struggle to give their children even one daily meal, let alone an education.
At Amazon primary school, which is funded by Trócaire, 200 children receive free primary education and a nutritious meal each day.
Before Trócaire started its school-feeding project, children were fainting from hunger in school. Now one simple lunch keeps children focused on their lessons and free from painful hunger pangs.
Irish people are feeding 13,000 children a day in Zimbabwe through Trócaire. This gift will ensure that children like Ngobami stay healthy and in school.
