The gift of fruit trees will help people like Reinaldo Rodriguez and his family from north Honduras.
Thanks to Global Gift, Reinaldo (pictured right with daughter Lourdes and wife Maria) grows ripe fruit and medicinal plants that allow his family to earn money and treat illness.
Reinaldo has also learned how to get the most from his plot of land through agro-forestry training.
“We have mandarins, papaya, grapefruit, mango and avocado”, says Reinaldo.
“And our orange trees are bulging with fruit. We have a very strong orange crop that we eat during the day or sell on the open market.”
One of Reinaldo’s proudest achievements is that his daughter, Lourdes (17), has just finished primary school and will soon start secondary.
He can afford her education because of the money he earns from their Global Gift fruit trees.
