Your gift will help people like Theresa Nyirangirukwayo from Rwanda
Theresa and her neighbours set up an association and borrowed a little money to buy soya bean seeds and a goat.
When the goat had kids, they gave them to other families in their village. Her women’s group learned how to save the extra money they received from the sale of their soya harvest and their goats.
They used this as collateral to borrow more. Theresa discovered a flair for business, and she enjoyed finding ways to branch out.
She opened a small shop where she sold items such as kerosene, soap and salt. With her profits she was able to pay her son’s school fees, repay her loan and fix her house.
