Be a volunteer

Ian McAfferty during campaigning on Grafton Street to keep Digna safe during Lent 2011.By campaigning with Trócaire you will challenge the root causes of poverty and injustice, and make a real difference in the world.

Bringing about change starts with you. You can help Trócaire to expose inequality, and change the factors that cause it.

Global ecomonic inequality, for example unfair trade rules, make it impossible for developing countries to become self-sufficient , and keeps millions of individuals trapped in an endless cycle of poverty.

For more information on getting involved with Trócaire's campaigns work, contact Mary Friel if you're based in the Republic of Ireland and if you're in Northern Ireland, please contact Joseph O'Neill at the Belfast office.

We run training courses during the year, free of charge for all our volunteers. An orientation workshop for new volunteers in the Dublin area will take place on Tuesday 25 September, 6pm-8pm at Trócaire's Office, 12 Cathedral Street, Dublin 1.

By taking action with Trócaire, you can help us lobby for change on these crucial issues. Each person who campaigns brings us a step closer to a more just world for all.
